Necessary Tomorrows is a monthly art series created by resident curator Sharayna Christmas, that features work from local artists who complement the vision and mission of Ida B's Table.
In June, we open our 6th exhibition called CAPABLE BLACK MEN | NONCONFORMITY + PATRIARCHY presented from the unique perspectives of 2 multimedia/visual artists Reg Lewis and Ernest Shaw. This exhibition examines the beautiful complexities of Black Men: their ability to love and persevere in a world that does not value their existence. The opening reception will also feature a video from the Black Male Identity Project created by Ernest Shaw dedicated to the fathers who have lost sons and those sons who have no fathers.
